Looking for a Job?

The Berggorilla & Regenwald Direkthilfe does not offer any jobs, internships or opportunities for volunteers. For our projects in Africa we only work together with people who live in the gorilla habitat countries.

If you are looking for a job in primate conservation, you should regularly consult job lists on the internet like Primate Jobs. Moreover, orphanages associated with PASA and The African Conservation Foundation occasionally offers jobs and opportunities for volunteers, and the African Wildlife and Conservation has links to other sites that offer jobs.

Please keep in mind that for a job in gorilla research or conservation it is usually required that you have graduated at university in a relevant subject. Moreover, you should be fluent in the language that is spoken in the country where you want to work. Experience of living in tropical countries often is required too. And, last but not least, you should be aware that wars are raging in many gorilla countries. This makes living and working in those countries very difficult.
