Cross River Gorillas


The critically endangered gorilla subspecies Gorilla gorilla diehli is living in the Cross River area at the border of Nigeria and Cameroon.
Gorillas: possibly 280 in a few isolated populations (brown areas).

Cross River National Park - Okwangwo Division (950 km²)

Afi River Forest Reserve: 383 km²
Gorillas: about 20–40 individuals

Takamanda Forest Reserve: 676 km²

Mone Forest Reserve: 538 km²
